Harlequins Women Head Coach Gerard Mullen has named a much changed match day squad that will be aiming to continue Quins’ 100% record in the Allianz Cup.
USA international Jenny Kronish is set to make her debut in the Famous Quarters, starting in the second row alongside vice-captain Fi Fletcher. Sheree Cooper, Davinia Catlin and Chloe Edwards pack down in an experienced Harlequins front-row.
Harlequins will be looking to make it four wins from four in the cup with a victory against the team from the West Country and Quins welcome back Jess Breach and Lagi Tuima from England camp as they start at eleven and twelve respectively. Freya Aucken slots in at scrum-half, whilst Ellie Green continues her run in the number ten jersey. Izzy Mayhew, Charlie Wellbelove and Emily Scott complete the back line.
There are two Harlequins Women COE players named amongst the Impact Players as Grace Clifford and Katie Shillaker are both set to make their first-team debuts after impressing throughout the season. Fleur Hopper returns to the matchday squad for the first time since suffering a leg injury away at DMP Durham Sharks in the same competition earlier this season.
Ahead of the clash, Mullen said: “We restart our Cup campaign against Bristol Bears at Horsham RUFC this weekend. They’re one of our community clubs and it’s great to take a high level of Women’s rugby down there for them to enjoy.
“The Allianz Cup gives us a good chance to give some players game time and with us already qualifying for the semi-finals the players have the oppurtunity to go out there and express themselves and have fun with ball in hand without having to worry about the result too much.”
