For September, England Captain Heather Knight, was voted the ICC Women’s Player of the Month. Knight led England to a series victory over New Zealand, scoring 89 in the first ODI and 101 in the fourth. The allrounder scored a total of 214 runs in the five ODIs against New Zealand last month with a strike rate of 88.06 and took 3 wickets with an economy rate of 4.66.
Commenting on Heather’s performance a member of the ICC voting academy member for September, Sana Mir, said: “Heather has been incredibly consistent not just as a player but as a captain and a leader. Her impact on the England Team is vital and her performances this month make her a worth winner of the Player of the Month accolade.”
