It’s been two weeks since that nail biting victory against Worcester Warriors in Round three and after last weekend’s break, Wasps are refocused, refuelled and ready to go again, this time heading south to face Exeter Chiefs.
This will be Wasps’ second visit to Sandy Park this season, having played a pre-season friendly in August. Exeter have performed so far this season, clinching a win against last seasons’ champions Harlequins. However, Wasps have turned over the CHiefs on their own turf twice before and will be looking to do the same this weekend.
Mather has named her match day squad, and with the Irish Internationals back from World Cup Qualifiers, there are some new faces to the starting line up for this season.
Muir, Kerr and Cleall form the front row with Cooney and Balogun behind them in the second. Molloy returns to the black and gold jersey to start on the open flank alongside Crake at six and Millar-Mills at eight as vice captain.
Macdonald will lead the team as your Captain at scrum half with Williams outside her at 10. Wilson Hardy returns from GB Sevens duty to start at thirteen alongside Cooksey at twelve, with Williams, Dow and Boatman forming your back three.
McMahon also swaps their green jersey for Wasps colours coming on as finisher for the forwards alongside Ransley, Evans, Caux and Searcy. After adding the fire to the finish of Round three, Wong returns as your replacement scrum half alongside Dodd as your back replacements.
A total of 3 personnel and 8 positional changes to the starting line up for this week’s fixture. If recent performances are anything to go by then this weekend is set to be an exciting game.
If you happen to be in and around Exeter then tickets are available for purchase, otherwise the game will be streamed live.
