Nine Changes to the Starting Fifteen as Wasps Take to the Road

  • +1

After a fiery first match of the season, Wasps make their first moves on the road to face Loughborough Lightning away for round two of Allianz Premier 15s.

Last season Wasps secured two comfortable wins over Loughborough Lightning and after last weeks’ close encounter with Saracens Women, the swarm will in no doubt be out to sting this weekend.

Mather has made nine changes to her starting fifteen for this weekends’ game, including debut appearances for Melanie Combebias and Jess Cooksey.

Starting with the pack, Crake joins the front row at prop and Kerr pushes into hooker. Melanie Combebias makes her debut in the second row and Balogun moves into the no. 6 jersey.

In the backs, Dow returns to the wing and Wilson Hardy moves into the centres making way for debutant Jess Cooksey who joins us this season from Worcester Warriors to start at fullback.

On the bench, experienced Wasp, Wong returns to the matchday squad alongside some strong finishers in the form of Muir and Caux, to complete the line up!

The match will be streamed live once again which you can access via the Premier 15s website and spectators are welcome.
