Harlequins name 2021/2022 playing squad

Harlequins Women can today confirm their 2021/22 playing squad that will aim to retain their Allianz Premier 15s title.

There are a number of fresh faces that Head Coach Gerard Mullen has added to his arsenal, including England international Ellie Kildunne, who joins Quins having featured fourteen times for her country, winning three Women’s Six Nations titles along the way.

A familiar face returns to South West London in scrum-half Emma Swords who followed former Saracens teammate Rosie Galligan to The Stoop.

Harlequins will be looking to continue their attacking-intent each game and Head Coach Gerard Mullen is excited to get going and show the fans a glimpse of what his side has been working on during pre-season.

“The whole team are really looking forward to having fans back regularly and we are blessed to have such great supporters at Harlequins. We want to work hard to make sure we put on a show and play an entertaining brand of rugby for them to watch week in week out.

“I’m thrilled with how our recruitment has gone over the summer. The squad is highly competitive, and we have strong depth in each position, which will drive the intensity of our training.

“We have one more week of hard work ahead before we begin our title defence at home at The Stoop against Loughborough Lightning. We’re under no illusion that this season will be even tougher than the last, but we’re all really excited to get going once again.”
