*‘Sparks’ openers Marie Kelly and skipper Eve Jones made light work of their reply, at one point hitting Elwiss 21 runs from a single over. That chalked-up their century-first-wicket-partnership by the mid-way point (60 balls)
‘Sparks’ skipper Eve Jones (51 from 47) was out, one ball after scoring her ‘fifty.’
*By the 100-ball benchmark (16.4 ov.) ‘Sparks’ seemed certain of victory, having done the hard work and needing just 12 runs from 20 balls.
*Charlotte Taylor’s straight-arm bowling took 2 wickets for 1 run, firstly dismissing Milly Home (1) and secondly Gwenan Davies (0): who were out within four balls of each other.
*Lauren Bell returned with 3 dot balls, followed by Tara Norris who took another wicket. *Marie Kelly carried her bat, after striking the winning ‘four,’ to finish with an unbeaten ‘ton’
Result: ‘Central Sparks’ 163/4 beat ‘Southern Vipers’ 162/4, by 6 wickets and with 6 balls remaining
