Harlequins Women have announced that England international Vickii Cornborough has re-signed with the Club ahead of the 2021/22 Allianz Premier 15s season.
The prop has been a mainstay in the Harlequins and England matchday squads for five seasons, making her 50th appearance for the Red Roses against France during the 2020 Women’s Six Nations before going on to help Quins lift their first ever Premier 15s trophy later that season.
Cornborough is thrilled to re-sign with Quins and is excited to get the new season underway as the Club look to defend their Allianz Premier 15s title.
After putting pen to paper, Cornborough said: “I’m delighted to re-sign for my sixth season with Harlequins. With a fantastic group of players and staff at its core, I believe Quins will challenge us to develop, raise our game, and be ambitious with the best program in the Premier 15s. A big welcome to our newcomers this season, too, let’s make the Quarters proud. COYQ.”
Head Coach Gerard Mullen added: “We’re blessed to have Vickii Cornborugh re-sign with Harlequins as we approach the start of the new season. She is one off the best loosehead props in the world and is fantastic on and off the field. The experience she has is invaluable and I have no doubt she will carry on developing as a player in the Harlequins environment.”
