Harlequins Women have today confirmed that wing Heather Cowell and fly-half Emily Scott have re-signed with the Club ahead of the 2021/22 Allianz Premier 15s season.

Cowell has been in a rich vein of form over her three years at Quins becoming a focal part of the team’s attacking style, scoring 38 tries along the way.

The wing will now be looking to build on a strong end to last season and is excited to help Quins defend their Allianz Premier 15s title.

Cowell said: “I am thrilled to sign for Quins for the upcoming season and be given the opportunity to build on the success of last year. I am really excited to develop my rugby surrounded by a great bunch of people and get the season underway.”

Fly-half Emily Scott re-signs with the Club after featuring numerous times for both England 15s and 7s. Scott played a pivotal part in Quins’ title winning season which included a start in the 10 jersey in the final at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester.

After putting pen to paper, Scott said: “I’m really excited to re-sign with Quins! We have a great chance to build on the successes from last season and I think we can only progress as a squad. We’re under no illusions that it will be a challenge to retain our Allianz Premier 15s title, but it is something we are eager to do.”

Head Coach Gerard Mullen added: “Heather has been a key member of the squad for a number of seasons now. She is an exacting and talented player and I personally think she has the ability to go right to the top and I look forward to helping her achieve her goals of becoming an England international in the future.

“I’m over the moon that Emily Scott has re-signed with Quins! I personally believe Scottie is one of the most talented players in the league and we are blessed to have her at the Club. I look forward to working with her again as we build up to the new season.”
