After a much needed rest week following a close encounter with Saracens- this weekend see the swarm head south to face Exeter Chiefs – a new addition to the Allianz set up this season.
Round 5 of Allianz Premier 15s saw a game of two halves – Saracens dominating in the first and Wasps coming back on fire to dominate the second – narrowly missing out on the win by just 6 points but leaving with two bonus points and plenty of fire leading into this weekends picture versus Exeter Chiefs.
Giselle Mather has named her side set to head south- which, with Red Roses back from International fixtures and the Irish back in camp, sees some changes to the squad.
Kerr returns to the front row alongside West and Muir. Crake and Burnfield, who scored two tries in the previous picture against Saracens, make up the second row. Whilst fellow try scorer Molloy, is joined by Kabeya and Millar-Mills to complete the pack.
Mitchelson, who is set to earn her 200th cap for Wasps, forms part of the team to add fire to the finish alongside Monaghan, Stock, Ironton and Balogun, both of which make their first appearance for Wasps this season.
Both returning from International duty, MacDonald and Jones start as your 9 & 10 combination. Alder captains the squad from centre alongside Williams, and to complete the starting squad Dow, Quansah and Kildunne make up your back three.
Wasps are excited to see the return of Wilson-Hardy who, alongside Nye and Williams, complete the squad as replacement backs.
Coached by Appleby and with some strong International players in their midst- Exeter Chiefs promises an exiting game. As per RFU and government guidelines the game will be played behind closed doors but all the action can be followed via twitter channels.
