Tyrrells Round 7 – The Christmas Rush

  • +1

The elite division gets to work again this weekend after the Red Roses’ three-match winning run.

The Programme

Saturday 30 November

12.00 Harlequins v Firwood Waterloo
13.00 Wasps v Saracens
14.30 Gloucester-Hartpury v Darlington Mowden Park Sharks
17.00 Richmond v Loughborough Lightning

Sunday 1 December

14.00 Worcester Warriors v Bristol Bears

There’s a big ‘Sepsis Awareness Day’ at Sixways with all the fun of the fair promised.

Can Wasps repeat what they achieved two seasons ago? Nolli Waterman went over late in the game to cause a rare upset to Sarries’ run to the Championship.
For the two leaders it’s a matter of achieving a bonus point every time they take the field. Quins have a one-point advantage, thanks to a perfect record of bonuses. They have the easier task this time round, at home to the club lying ninth.

It will be interesting to see how many international players are asked to pull their boots on again. It’s been a tough three or four weeks for many of them.

Four more rounds to go before the Christmas break. With next year’s involvement in the Tyrrells hanging on every game, there will be no let-up in commitment.
