With over 25 years’ experience in the design industry, The Furniture Union prides itself on striving for excellence in its provision of creative solutions to the residential and commercial sectors. It was therefore apt to acknowledge the synergy existing between Natalie and TFU in their common goals of teamwork, positive thinking, dedication and leading by example.

During an evening of celebration on Friday 24th May, Natalie’s sponsorship cheque was officially presented by celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford and actor, Jessica-Jane Stafford. The event was attended by clients and associates as well as friends and members of the local community.

Discussing the fact that women’s sport receives only 0.5% of the sports world’s totally sponsorship income – with men’s sport getting 62.1% and 30% more in prize money – Natalie remarked:

“I have been lucky enough to be sponsored and supported by The Furniture Union, a company that shares the same attributes and values I need, to be successful.”

Recognising a situation that is equally applicable to non-career athletes like Natalie as to small businesses such as The Furniture Union, she highlighted how the pace of modern life and need for multi-tasking can result in an intense yet stimulating environment:

“Having The Furniture Union’s support is enabling me to work 6 days a week in my role as a teacher at Seaford College and train every weekend in Birmingham. Without having to worry about my sponsorship I can now apply my time and energy to the team and to our goal of retaining our title.”
