Wasps will be looking to make it six wins from six in the Tyrell’s Premier 15s Development League as they host Richmond. The visitors will be looking for their second win of the season after some tough fixtures in their opening matches.
Wasps have made seven changes from the side that defeated Darlington Mowden Park Sharks two weeks ago. In a reshuffled backline Claire Wright moves from scrum-half to full-back, while fly-half Deirdre Roberts moves to inside centre. Kendall Templeman returns to the side at outside centre.
Makeda Lewis regains her position on the wing, with Flo Williams and Sammy Graham the new half back pairing.
Maud Muir returns from the England Talent Development Group camp to start in the backrow. She is the joint top scorer in the squad, alongside hooker Danielle Harrison. Kasey Allen and Mica Evans, who both played for the first team in Darlington, return to the side.
Wasps sit second in the table, despite being unbeaten, one point behind leaders Harlequins. Wasps put in a good second half performance two weeks ago to seal a result against Darlington, despite a small travelling squad. In only their second home appearance of the season, they will be looking to maintain their outstanding form, averaging over 40 points per game.
Richmond lie in 7th in the development league after a difficult start to the season. Their sole win came on the opening weekend against Worcester, but have had tough fixtures against Harlequins, Loughborough and Saracens since. Their fixture against Darlington Mowden Park Sharks was postponed so they have only completed four fixtures. They will provide stern competition as their place fails to reflect their true capabilities having already faced two of the top three sides.
