Semi Final Draw for SSE Women’s FA Cup

The SSE FA Women’s Cup semi-final draw was made this morning on BBC Radio 5Live by presenter Rachel Burden and former England international Sue Smith.

Unfortunately because of bad weather yesterday all but one of the quarter final ties had to be postponed, in the one that did take place Chelsea coasted into the semis with a 3-0 win over Liverpool.  Chelsea will now play either Sunderland or Manchester City.

The three remaining quarter finals – Durham v Everton, Arsenal v Charlton Athletic and Sunderland v Manchester City – have been rescheduled for Sunday 25 March.

The semi-finals will take place on Sunday 15 April and will be broadcast live on the BBC, with each winning club receiving £5,000 from The FA prize fund.

This season’s Final will be staged at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 5 May.
