Tyrrells Premier 15s Round Ten

Second half drama was the order of the weekend in the Tyrrells Premier 15s as Saracens maintained their perfect start and Harlequins Ladies got back to winning ways.

There was also a sensational comeback from Darlington Mowden Park Sharks who stunned Gloucester-Hartpury, while Bristol Ladies enjoyed more away day success at Richmond. Worcester Valkyries game against Loughborough Lightning was postponed due to adverse weather conditions.

Saracens Women 45 -6 Firwood Waterloo Ladies

Saracens Women stretched their perfect start in the Tyrrells Premier 15s to ten games as they cruised to a 45-6 victory against Firwood Waterloo Ladies.

Helena Rowland dotted down twice in the first half with Zoe Harrison also crossing the whitewash.
Bethany Stott got the visitors on the scoreboard but Saracens dotted down four more times in the final 20 minutes.

Georgie Lingham, Rosie Galligan, Poppy Cleall and Hannah Botterman all went over for Rob Cain’s side, who now have 49 points from their opening ten games.

Gloucester- Hartpury 24- 38 Darlington Mowden Park Sharks

Gloucester-Hartpury looked well on their way to a sixth victory of the season but five second half tries from Darlington Mowden Park Sharks clinched a stunning 38-24 victory.

Two early dot downs from the hosts put them into a 12-7 half-time lead.

Gloucester Hartpury went over twice more with Welsh international Cerys Hale and former England U20 Mary-Ann Gittings both dotting down early in the second half.

Darlington Mowden Park Sharks responded with five tries of their own to cap off a fine comeback and a third win of the season.

Harlequins Ladies 27 -8 Wasps FC

Fiona Pocock helped Harlequins Ladies get back to winning ways with a 27-8 victory over Wasps.
Leanne Riley responded to an early Wasps penalty to give Quins a slender 5-3 lead at the break.

Quins showed class in the second period and a fine interception and dot down from Pocock set the tone.

Christina Veale struck back for Wasps but tries from Shaunagh Brown, Abbie Scott, as well as penalty try, set up an impressive 27-8 win.

Richmond FC 5- 32 Bristol Ladies

Bristol wrapped up back-to-back victories on the road with a dominant 32-5 victory over Richmond FC.

Things started brightly for the home side as captain Rowena Burnfield sniped over to give Richmond a 5-0 lead before Bristol hit back with two tries to go in 12-5 in front.

Bristol didn’t look back as they scored 20 unanswered points, leaving them just six points adrift of Wasps in third.
