Wiltshire, who was the leading goalscorer in the WSL2 championship winning season, joined Yeovil from Watford in 2014, before she was snapped up to play professionally for Manchester City. She then returned to Yeovil and in July 2016, she took a break from playing due to pregnancy.

Wiltshire, who featured on the BBC recently in a story about returning sports mums, scored the only goal in the opening WSL1 fixture against Liverpool, in front of 1897 fans at Huish Park, which was just 11 weeks after giving birth.
Speaking about her departure, Wiltshire said “Thank you to all the staff and players for everything.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Yeovil and I will look back and know some of my best football memories were made there. Thanks also to the fans for their amazing support over the 3 seasons, especially last year in helping us get promoted.
“Id like to wish everyone a very good luck for the new season.”
Wiltshire, who still lives in Hatfield near London, will leave with fond memories and fans will also no doubt send in their thanks to her for her massive contribution over recent years.

Manager Jamie Sherwood said “Obviously we wanted Sarah to return to the club for the winter season but due to the increased commitment that is required for WSL 1 and Sarah’s logistical geography, it just didn’t make it in any way achievable.

“Sarah has been integral for the development of the team, squad and was a huge contributing factor on why we are now a WSL 1 club.”
Sherwood went on to say, “I personally wish her the best of luck in her new club as it’s been a pleasure working with her over the past 4 years and regret that geography could be different.
“Sarah will always have a home at this club.”
