England Cricket Captain Heather Knight suffers stress fracture

  • +1

England Women’s captain Heather Knight has sustained a small metatarsal stress fracture to her left foot and is expected to be out of action for 5-6 weeks.

For the first 2-3 weeks of her recovery she’ll wear a boot – designed to support the affected area – and will then spend the next 2-3 weeks back in light training and building back up to full fitness.

If her recovery goes as expected Knight should be available for selection for England’s ICC Women’s World Cup warm-up fixtures, starting on June 19th against Sri Lanka.

We wish the England Captain a speedy recovery.
