Samurai Sportswear have revealed their design for women’s and men’s Jamaica Rugby Football Union’s OMG ICONIX™ test jersey, to be debuted on the world stage at Hong Kong 7s.
The main inspiration for the design of this shirt is the proud, patriotic nature of the Jamaican people. The colours used on the shirt, depicting those on the Jamaican flag are all said to have different meanings. Black portrays the strength and creativity of the people; gold represents the natural wealth and beauty of sunlight and green highlights the hope and agricultural resources of the country. It signifies the birth of the nation and recalls memories of past achievements and gives inspiration towards further success.

Having qualified for the World Sevens for the first time, Jamaica are certain to stand out in their OMG ICONIX™ test jerseys and the shirt’s on-field features are guaranteed to help Jamaica RFU to reach their potential. The jersey is engineered with high performance 4D fabric, integrated performance collar and anti-pinch underarm panelling to allow a full range of movement, whilst Samurai’s exclusive PerformeX™ fabrics make it wicking and breathable.
