Bristol Ladies 2nd XV beat league leaders Plymouth

  • +1

Yesterday saw Bristol Ladies 2nd XV secure a convincing 45 – 22 victory over Plymouth Albion Ladies, away from home.

Plymouth, who are league leaders and were previously unbeaten this season held the visitors off by two points up until the 60th minute when fortunes changed for the home side, when Bristol stormed to 20 unanswered points in the final 20 minutes of the game.

Fly half Lucy Attwood scored the majority of the points for Bristol, with 30 to her name by the end of the game, with the forwards taking the rest through Jessie Hood, Nat Lewis and Emily Underwood.

Head Coach, Roy Davies: “The team really came together this weekend, with many players stepping up and showing their commitment to the Bristol shirt after a mixed few weeks. Many of these girls have put their hands up to be involved in next weeks Cup fixture and it’s exciting to see the strength and depth of our squad grow as the season progresses.”

Next week sees Bristol back at home at Cleve RFC in Cup action against Wasps Ladies on Sunday 19th Feb.
