Bristol Ladies 2nd XV lose out to Bath Ladies

  • +1

Playing in the Championship South West 2 league, Bristol Ladies 2nd XV fell to defeat in their first home game of the season against local rivals Bath.

A tight contest saw the half time score at 10 – 12, with the hosts trailing by 2 due to a missed conversion. Bath stole the win in the second half with two break away tries, and a solid defence which stopped Bristol at each attack.

The Bristol tries came from Trish Brown and Sue Neumann, with two missed conversions.

Forward of the game went to Jessie Hood (pictured above with sister Gracie) who put in a fantastic performance, with strong ball carrying and leadership. She shared the field with her sister Gracie Hood, who came on at half time and showed great potential in the Bristol shirt.

Centre Chantelle Miell gained the Back of the game award, with outstanding game management and showed great ability to control the pace of the game.

Whilst not the win the team were looking for – it was a performance with a lot of heart and lots of work ons for our next game in a few weeks’ time.

Final Score: Bristol Ladies 10 – 22 Bath Ladies
