Would you like to play in a 57-hour five-a-side marathon for Sport Relief?
Sport Relief has teamed up with The Premier League and the BBC for the /Battle of the Five-a-Sides/, an epic rolling football event taking place in a custom built arena on the Piazza at MediaCityUK in Manchester.
Football stars Alan Shearer and Robbie Savage will renew their rivalry and take charge of two teams, vying to become champions of this exceptional test of endurance – the equivalent of a whole Premier League season played back-to-back.
Players of all abilities – aged 11 and over – can lace up their boots, run out onto the pitch at and play their part in supporting the work of Comic Relief in the UK and across the world’s poorest communities.
Play will be continuous from 9.15am on Thursday 3rd March until 6.15pm on Saturday 5th March, with teams and individuals rolling on and off throughout.
Each game will last 30 minutes with 15 minute halves. Many famous names from the worlds of sport and entertainment are taking part. The Battle of the Five-a-Sides will kick off in /BBC Breakfast/ and the final whistle will be blown during /606/ on Radio 5 Live.
