Storm retain the core of ten players from the squad that was crowned 2015 Champions, including Storm captain Hannah Reid, Katy Holland, Josie Huckle, Amy Flanagan, Georgia Lees, Katt Ainsworth, Mikki Austin, Kat Hayes, Rachel Dunn and Pamela Cookey.
New arrivals include ex-Hertfordshire Mavericks and England mid-court player Sophia Candappa, who was confirmed back in October, and 22-year-old WA/C Yasmin Parsons, who joins from Team Bath.
Surrey Storm NPL and England U21 stars Rhea Dixon (GA/GS) and Fran Williams (GD/GK) make the step up to the senior squad whilst continuing to feature for the Performance squad.
Finally Elsa Wakeman (GA/GS) also makes the final squad arriving after stints with Team South NPL and Weston Park Blades.
Following Tamsin Greenway’s retirement, Storm’s former wing attack will be holding a special testimonial on Saturday 9 January. The match is SOLD OUT and more details will be announced soon.
Alongside Greenway, Katie Harris, Laurelle Borck and Becky Gentle will also not be returning to the Surrey Storm squad, but we wish them all the best with their future netball careers.
Storm kick off the defence of their Superleague title at Super Saturday in Birmingham versus Team Bath on Saturday 30 January, in what promises to be an amazing, record netball event and Superleague attendance. Tickets are still available to buy here
Season ticket holders and home Storm fans will first get the chance to see the new squad at Surrey Sports Park on Friday 5 February against Team Northumbria. Tickets are SOLD OUT.
