The Lionesses to take part in tournament in China

The  England Women’s football team will take part in the CFA International Women’s Football Tournament later this month.  The Lionesses will travel to China on Monday 19th October and will face China and Australia in the mini tournament.

This will be the first tournament for the Lionesses since finishing third in the World Cup in Canada this summer.

Dates and times of the matches are to be confirmed by the Chinese Football Association.

The Matildas are ranked at no 9 on the  FIFA rankings with China on 15 – England hold their highest position to date at 5 behind USA, Germany, France and Japan

The Lionesses next home game is against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Sunday 29 November (3.30pm KO) as part of their UEFA Women’s 2017 Euro qualifying campaign.
