England finished the first Rugby Super Series in Canada with a close win over Canada in Edmonton, having already comprehensively beaten the USA and losing out only to New Zealand. This is a team in transition and Simon Middleton will have learnt a lot about his players.
Thurrock T-Birds England rugby internationals had a particularly impressive tour. Emily Scott and Heather Fisher (pictured above) were awarded Player of the Match for their performances in wins against USA and Canada respectively.
Meanwhile Thurrock’s flying fullback, Kay Wilson, top scored for England with some scintillating tries.
The girls now look forward to a well-earned rest for a couple of weeks before the T-birds start their push for the premiership when they play Saracens in September.
