Team Bath’s Sam Cook and Stacey Francis make England squad

Team Bath Netball defenders Sam Cook and Stacey Francis have been named in a 12-strong England Netball squad for the upcoming three-match Test series against Trinidad & Tobago.

They are joined in the squad by former Team Bath players Sara Bayman, Pamela Cookey, Kadeen and Sasha Corbin, and Rachel Dunn.

The opening match of the series, part of the build-up to this summer’s Netball World Cup in Australia, will take place at the University of Bath Sports Training Village on Wednesday, May 6 (7.15pm).

Cook and Francis – who will miss Team Bath’s final game of the Superleague season against Celtic Dragons on Monday as she recovers from a knee injury – are also in the England squad for the 2015 Netball Europe Open.

It is taking place in Belfast from May 14-17 and will also feature South Africa and Trinidad & Tobago.

Tickets for Team Bath Netball’s televised home Superleague match against Celtic Dragons on Monday, April 13 are currently on sale.

Doors open at 6.45pm and pre-match entertainment and warm-ups get under way at 7pm.
