England’s U23s kicked-off their first game in La Manga on Thursday afternoon, running out 3-1 winners against Sweden.
England made an electric start to the game and took the lead inside the first minute through Danielle Carter.
Nikita Parris then made it 2-0 midway through the second half before substitute Kirsty Linnett added England’s third goal after 77 minutes to put the Lionesses in control.
Goalkeeper Mary Earps was denied a clean sheet in the later stages though, as Sweden grabbed a consolation goal with five minutes remaining.
England’s next game will be against USA on Monday.
