England Women’s proposed friendly with France has been postponed after the two nations were drawn against each other in Group F of the 2015 FIFA World Cup in Canada.
Both associations mutually agreed to the postponement following the draw, which puts England and France in the same group as Colombia and Mexico.
England will still USA on Friday 13 February at MK Dons stadium in Milton Keynes and will now seek new opponents for their April fixture.
England head coach Mark Sampson said: “France approached us to postpone the friendly after the draw and following discussions we agreed to the postponement. Our intention is to prepare as thoroughly as possible for the tournament with a balance of training and matches against opponents with a variety of playing styles.
“We hope to name another opponent for our April fixture as soon as possible.”
