England squad announced for January Jamaica tour

  • +1

The England squad for the upcoming International Tour to the Caribbean against the Sunshine Girls of Jamaica has been announced.

Once again Jade Clarke and Pamela Cookey will share the captaincy duties and lead the team into their first action of 2015. The two sides will go head-to-head in a three match series in the Jamaican capital of Kingston.

It will be a tough start to the World Cup year for the travelling England ladies with fixtures coming thick and fast in the Caribbean. The opening match takes place on Saturday 10th January with the second test a day later. The competitive action concludes with a final encounter on Tuesday 13th.

Unfortunately, the tour comes too early for Serena Guthrie who is still working her way back to full fitness from an injury sustained at the Fast5 tournament last month.

The squad selected for the January Series against Jamaica is as follows:

Jade Clarke (Co-Captain), Pamela Cookey (Co-Captain), Ama Agbeze, Sara Bayman, Eboni Beckford-Chambers, Sam Cook, Kadeen Corbin, Sasha Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Stacey Francis, Tamsin Greenway, Jo Harten, Laura Malcolm, Geva Mentor
