Skier Charlotte Evans is Medway Sportsperson of the Year

Sochi Paralympic Games.  In 2009 Charlotte was part of the England Alpine Ski Team and English overall champion before she got injured while competing at the British Championships.  Whilst going through rehab, Charlotte was working as a coach when she was asked to consider being a Guide. She began working with Kelly Gallagher at an Alpine Skiing Training Camp in Hintertux in November 2010.

In second place and winning a silver medal was Rachael Burford, member of the World Cup winning England women’s rugby team,  also member of the England Sevens squad and winner of the Rugby Players’ Association England women’s player-of-the-year award.  Rachael is also a mentor at the Kelly Holmes Trust.

In third place and winning the bronze medal Maddie Hinch goalkeeper of the England women’s hockey team.  Maddie’s made a name for herself as a goalkeeping extraordinaire, starting at

Exmouth HC and working her way up to becoming England’s number one and making her senior debut against Germany in 2008. Since then she’s gained a degree in Sport & Exercise Science from Loughborough University, and when she’s not protecting hockey goals she’s coaching others to do the same.
